Regular Membership
The Sunflower Chapter is a local affiliation of the national Military Officers Association of America (MOAA). Officers and auxiliary are encouraged to join both national and the chapter (about 95 percent do) but individuals may join only the chapter or only national if they wish. Eligibility for chapter membership is the same as for national.
We have several membership categories:
Regular Members
Regular members are required to hold and maintain membership in The Military Officers Association of America, 201 N Washington Street, Alexandria, VA 22314-2539. This link will take you to the MOAA National website where you can explore the myriad benefits.
Associate and Auxiliary members are encouraged to acquire and maintain such membership.
- Those individuals who are entitled to retired or retainer pay on the basis of service in any of the uniformed services,
- Those individuals, whether on active duty or not, who are commissioned officers or warrant officers in any of the uniformed services but are not entitled to retired or retainer pay, and
- Former commissioned officers and warrant officers who have been separated from the services enumerated above under conditions acceptable to the Board.
Auxiliary Members. The surviving spouse of any deceased individual of any of the uniformed services enumerated above.
